AYANEO has today announced the next batch of retro products in its REMAKE line including the Pocket DMG, Pocket Micro, The AG01 eGPU dock, new Mini PC AM01, updated AIR 1S and Retro Power Bank.
AYANEO POCKET DMG
The AYAENO Pocket DMG is a clear take on the Game Boy. It has an OLED display with a 1240x1080p resolution and PPI of 419. It has a left analogue stick but a touchpad next to it that is supposed to be used in replacement of having a second analogue stick.
It features a Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 processor which means that it’ll be running Android and should be a pretty capably retro gaming device.
AYANEO POCKET MICRO
The AYANEO Pocket Micro is a much smaller retro handheld obviously taking design inspiration from the Game Boy Micro. It uses the screen found in the FLIP DS lower screen with a resolution of 960×460 which is a four times increase on the GBA screen.
It uses a high-end aluminium frame to ensure that it can last the distance. It’s powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chip which should be more than capable for playing older games.
AYANEO AG01 EGPU DOCK
This is one that AYANEO gamers have been waiting for for a long time. It’s an eGPU that has an AMD Radeon RX 7600m XT RDNA3 GPU built-in which it can take advantage of with both Oculink (found in the AYANEO Flip DS) and Thunderbolt 4 (found in the AYANEO 2S).
As far as ports go it has 2 DP ports, 2 HDMI ports, 1 OCuLink port, 1 USB-A port, 1 USB4 port, 1 RJ45 port, 1 DC IN port, 1 SD card slot, and an internal SSD slot.
AYANEO RETRO MINI PC AM01S
This is the new flagship model. Clearly inspired by the AM01 that was based on the original Mac, but that fake screen that was used just for looks previously is now replaced with an actual screen that can expand out and be used (just like on the AM02).
It is equipped with the top of the range Ryzen 7 8845HS or Ryzen 9 8945S and is capable of 65w TDP. You can find my review of the original AM01 HERE.
AYANEO AIR 1S 8840U EDITION
The AYANEO Air 1S is being updated to use the Ryzen 7 8840U. This is a high-end handheld that has a 5-5inch OLED display, so it’s for those that want something more portable but also the highest specs as far as integrated graphics go. You can find my review of the original 1S HERE.
AYANEO RETRO POWER BANK
To go with all of these REMAKE devices, AYANEO has also announced a retro power bank that is based on the Super Nintendo. It has a monochrome OLED screen that can show real-time charging information and it has a 12,000mAh battery that has charging of up to 45W PD.
