Amazon’s Web Services which handles a lot of the internet load has been down since roughly 6:00pm AEDT tonight taking down some of the internet’s largest properties.
According to Down Detector this includes the likes of Fortnite, the Epic Games Store, Roblox, Dead by Daylight, Steam as well as other games such as Pokemon GO. This obviously extends much further though with the likes of Amazon and Snapchat also down due to the AWS outage.
On the AWS support page, the company said: “We can confirm increased error rates and latencies for multiple AWS Services in the US-EAST-1 Region, We are actively engaged and working to both mitigate the issue and understand root cause.”
