Display Wireless OLED TV

A Wireless 55″ OLED TV That Runs Off A Rechargeable Battery Is Set To Be Announced This Week

Interesting tech.

Displace, a start-up, is set to announce a wireless 4K 55″ OLED TV this week.

The TV is set to run off batteries that will apparently last a month based on 6 hours of daily use. There’s set to be another box that plugs into power and wirelessly transmits the image to the display.

If that wasn’t enough for you, it’s said that the TV can be stuck to the wall using just “a slight push” due to a proprietary active-loop, vacuum technology. The TV also has airbags built in in case it does fall (I’m not making this up) This makes it very transportable for trade shows and such. It’s said that you can combine up to four of the TVs for a massive 110″ display with a 16K resolution.

The Displace OLED TV won’t come with a remote, instead being controlled by hand gestures, voice assistants and touch panels, with a 4K camera built right into the TV.

Obviously, we don’t quite know what to make of this TV, but it’s said that full release information will be announced at CES 2023 later this week.

Whilst there’s no doubt that OLED technology is starting to push into new directions thanks to its super thin display and low power usage, we don’t really understand what advantage this would offer over the likes of the Samsung Neo QLEDs which basically allow you to achieve a wireless look with the One Connect box that goes in your entertainment unit, but we love to see new tech nonetheless.

We’ll let you know when we have more information about the Displace TV and anything else that pops up at CES 2023 this week.
