Wireless charging has come a long way over the last few years, starting with MagSafe which has now evolved into the Qi2 standad that basically means it’s charging at 15w wirelessly and magnetically, which was reserved for MagSafe previously. I got to go hands-on with the new Anker MagGo range which utilises Qi2 across the whole range.
ANKER MAGGO WIRELESS FOLDABLE 3-IN-1
This was by far my favourite product in this range, and I highly recommend it to anybody who wants an all-in-one charger that is also perfect for travel. I was recently overseas in both LA/Taiwan and this is the only charger that I took with me for all of my personal devices.
It has a foldable design which folds into the size of two sticks of gum placed together (or smaller than a magic mouse) and it weighs under 200 grams. On the front, you’ve got a 15w Qi2 magnetic wireless charger which allows your iPhone to go on in either portrait or landscape. Unfolding the charger reveals a secondary wireless charging pad, which I used for my AirPod Pros.
But underneath, there’s also a fast-charging Apple Watch charger which unfolds out to the rear of the portable charger and it can charge your Apple Watch to 47% in just 30 minutes of charge, so you’ve got three wireless chargers that all charge at the max speed of wireless charging.
Included in the box is also a 40w USB-C Anker charger which will give all of your devices more than enough boost, and honestly, I cannot recommend this charger enough, especially if you’ve got an iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods, and you’re someone that travels to the office or on a plane, as it’s unbelievable how small and light this is when folded up.

ANKER MAGGO POWER BANK (6.6K)
This one has a similar formfactor to that of the wireless foldable, but it’s noticeable heavier and maybe a little bit larger due to the fact that it has a 6,600 mAh battery inside. Just like the foldable, it folds out so that you can play your iPhone on it in landscape mode to take advantage of StandBy, and it does a great job at charging it at 15w.
Where I started to run into issues was with the power bank element and I’m not sure if I just had a slightly dodgy unit, but I was expecting it to be charged at all times as it was plugged in with my iPhone attached, but this seemed to be really hit or miss for me. Even when charged, I’d place my iPhone on it, and often I’d have to press the button to get it charging.
Really though, unless you want this very specific form factor, as a power bank there are a lot of better alternatives from Anker (I recommend the new Prime range here), just due to how big and heavy it is, especially compared to the MagGo Foldable Wireless charger that I just spoke about.

ANKER 3-IN-1- CUBE WITH MAGSAFE
This one technically isn’t a Qi2 charger, but it’s coming to Australia with the rest of these units. If you’re an iPhone user, you can expect 15w charging with MagSafe. This one caught my eye when it was announced, as it’s a super premium looking charger.
It folds down into a cube, with the top lifting up to again support the iPhone in landscape mode for StandBy. Doing so reveals a wireless charging for your AirPods Pro, and then the Apple Watch charger comes out of the side of it using a little mechanic where you click on the side, and then pull it out. I’d have loved for this to pop out a little easier, but it’s a super sleek finish.
This one is noticeably heavier than the wireless foldable Qi2 model, but I’d really recommend it for people that want a stylish looking 3-in-1 charger at their desk, and travel occasionally, as you really can’t go wrong with traveling with this one. It also comes with a 30w charger and cord.

ANKER MagGo Wireless Charger
Last but not least is Anker’s Qi2 magnetic charger which does exactly what you’d expect. It snaps onto the back of your phone magnetically and can charge at up to 15w. That’s really it when it comes to this one. It has a great magnetic suction and does exactly as expected.
