Apple has taken to the WWDC stage to not only announce that the Mac Pro is finally getting an Apple Silicon version, but they also announced that the Mac Studio is going to a new level with M2 Max and M2 Ultra. The device will look the same design-wise, but obviously power has gone to a whole new level.
Whilst M2 Max was already in MacBook Pros, the M2 Ultra is a brand new chip which is described as jamming two M2 Max chips together with Apple’s UltraFusion technology.
It provides 24-core CPU and an up to 76-core GPU experience making it 30% faster than the M1 Ultra. The M2 Ultra supports up to 192GB of unified memory.
M2 MAX & M2 ULTRA MAC STUDIO AUSTRALIAN PRICE AND RELEASE DATE
The Apple Mac Studio will start at $3,299 AUD for the M2 Ultra version and $2,696 for the M2 Max version. It will be available for pre-order today and will release on Tuesday, June 13th.
