Just a few months after announcing the company’s first retro inspired handhelds, AYANEO has now announced prices for the AYANEO Pocket DMG and Pocket Micro as pre-orders go live on Indiegogo.
The AYAENO Pocket DMG is a clear take on the Game Boy. It has an OLED display with a 1240x1080p resolution and PPI of 419. It has a left analogue stick but a touchpad next to it that is supposed to be used in replacement of having a second analogue stick.
It features a Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 processor which means that it’ll be running Android and should be a pretty capably retro gaming device.
You can pre-order the Pocket DMG on Indiegogo for September shipping at this link. It’s available in Moon White, Artic Black and Retro (LE):
The AYANEO Pocket Micro is a much smaller retro handheld obviously taking design inspiration from the Game Boy Micro. It uses the screen found in the FLIP DS lower screen with a resolution of 960×460 which is a four times increase on the GBA screen.
It uses a high-end aluminium frame to ensure that it can last the distance. It’s powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chip which should be more than capable for playing older games.
