PAX 2023 has just been and gone, and tech was there in a big, big way this year. Almost every stand had custom PC builds for the latest and greatest games, and it was hard to walk two metres without seeing one of the latest GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs within a PC case on display.
Here are the absolute coolest things that we saw at PAX 2023:
@shannongrixti There was some insane tech at PAX AUS 2023 including a sneaker PC, fluffy Cult of the Lamb PC, a working guitar PC and more NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs than I could count #NVIDIA #PAX #PAXAUS #PAXAUS2023 #PC #Aftershock #Nvidia #Coolermaster #MSI #Corsair #NVIDIARTX #ASUSROG
COOLER MASTER SNEAKER X
This is without doubt one of the coolest PCs that I’ve seen. It’s literally a PC case that has been built as if it’s a sneaker with insane lighting. It has an GeForce RTX 4070 inside of it so it’s built for top-tier gaming.
The Sneaker X will set you back roughly $6,000 AUD and can find out more into about it HERE.
COOLER MASTER ORB X
This is one of those things that had to be see to understand. The Cooler Master Orb X is an all-inclusive gaming pod that can house up to three ultrawide monitors with full surround sound and a reclining chair setup.
You can out more about the Cooler Master Orb X HERE
THE HOLY GRAIL OF GEFORCE RTX 40 SERIES GPUS WAS ON DISPLAY
The ASUS ROG Matrix Platinum GeForce RTX 4090 the holy grails of GPUs. Priced at $6,299 AUD, this RTX 4090 delivers an insanely premium performance whilst maintaining great temperatures due to the dedicated 360mm AIO cooler and a hollow metal frame design.
You can check it out at Mwave HERE.
A WORKING GUITAR PC
This was one of the coolest things that I saw at PAX. Yamaha and Aftershock partnered to create a working PC out of a playable guitar, complete with a IO built into the side of it.
MSI’S PROJECT ZERO CASE + SLIM RTX 4060 Ti GPU
As far as practical PCs go, I think that this was my favourite at PAX. MSI’s gorgeous new Project Zero case that pairs a motherboard that has all the connections at the back with a PC case that has its corner piece removed and paired with MSI’s gaming slim RTX 40 line go perfectly together.
They were running Counter-Strike 2 with NVIDIA Reflex at a great amount of frames.
You can read more about the MSI Project Zero Case HERE and find the MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti for $939 HERE.
CUSTOM CULT OF THE LAMB PC
Cult Of the Lamb has been one of the biggest Aussie games to come out in recent memory so it’s only fitting that it was celebrated with a custom Aftershock PC. Complete with a fluffy front of case and a custom GeForce RTX GPU, I absolutely want one in my house.
CUSTOM EVANGELION X ASUS RANGE
If you’re an Evangelion fan, ASUS has dropped an entire line of PC products including an absolutely glorious RTX 4090 card that is fully themed in Evangelion, but there’s also peripherals, coolers, a motherboard and many other products.
The entire Evangelion RTX 4090 setup is available on MWAVE for $9,799 and you can find it HERE.
The setup was running Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart with absolute use utilising NVIDIA DLSS.
AFTERSHOCK’S BUBBLE TEA PC
This was without doubt the cutest PC I saw at PAX Aus 2023, and yet again another one from the legends over at Aftershock. It has an extremely cute Corgie on the case and a bubble tea cooler with pearls.
THE ULTRAWIDE MONITORS WERE THERE IN A BIG WAY
Ultrawides are getting bigger and cooler by the year, but they were at PAX 2023 in a big, big way. Samsung’s whopping new 57-inch G95NC was on display with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, the new LG OLED Flex was on display with Forza and the Corsair Xeneon Flex which we reviewed (here) was on display running Assassin’s Creed Mirage taking full advantage of NVIDIA GSYNC.
COOLER MASTER COOLING X
I’m a big fan of sleek and non-discrete PC cases and it’s hard to go past the Cooler Master Cooling X. It’s a very toned down black case with simple RGBs on the side and a RTX 4080 GPU to boot as well.
It’s available at Mwave for $9,499 AUD
CUSTOM FALLOUT PC
Another by Aftershock, as Fallout is one of my favourite franchises, this was extremely cool to see.
COOLER MASTER’S STREET FIGHTER 6 GEAR
I hadn’t seen this before, but Cooler Master had dropped a setup utilising an RTX 4000 card as well as custom Street Fighter branded parts including a Blanka power supply and a Luke cooler.
