Dbrand (one of my favourite companies based on marketing stunts like this) has revealed its Nintendo Switch 2 case in its signature Killswitch line.
Along with the announcement, Dbrand showed off a look at the Nintendo Switch successor inside of its new and improved Killswitch case. We can tell from the images that it is a larger unit (its rumoured to have an 8inch display) and there also appears to be a new button that sits on the right side under the home button.
The Verge spoke to Dbrand’s CEO Adam Ijaz and he said that Dbrand has “actual dimensions” and not an educated guess which and it’s based on a 3D scan of the real hardware, but wouldn’t elaborate any further on that.

Interestingly enough, Ilaz went on further to say that the Switch 2 would measure 270mm wide, 116mm tall and 14mm thick compared to the original which was 242mm wide, 102mm tall and 13.9mm thick. He also went on to say that it is his understanding that the Joy-Cons will magnetically attach with an ejection button taht is on the back of the Joy-Con controller which matches up with all rumours to date.
Dbrand went on to say that it isn’t sure when the Switch 2 will release but it is targeting a March/April release date for its case, which would match up with the release timing of the original Switch.
It’s pretty clear at this point that we’re getting close to a Nintendo Switch 2 announcement, and it seems very likely that it will have a larger display with magnetic Joy-Cons which both sound like a great improvement over the original Nintendo Switch.
