Disney Plus Just Got A Price Increase In Australia

Another one!

Almost a year after the last price increase, Disney has announced that Disney Plus is going up in Australia as of March 26th. This follows the announcement that ESPN content will be joining Disney Plus in Australia.

The price of Disney Plus Standard will go up to $15.99 a month from $13.99 a month (a $2 a month increase) or $159.99 a year from $139.99 a year.

The price of Disney Plus Premium will go up to $20.99 a month from $17.99 a month or $209.99 a year from $179.99 a year.

NEW DISNEY PLUS PRICES (MARCH 2025))

Disney Plus standard:

  • $13.99/month to $15.99/month and from $139.99/year to $159.99/year for Australia residents.
  • $14.99/month to $16.99/month and from $149.99/year to $169.99/year for New Zealand residents.

Disney Plus premium

  • $17.99/month to $20.99/month and from $179.99/year to $209.99/year for Australia residents.
  • $18.99/month to $21.99/month and from $189.99/year to $219.99/year for New Zealand residents.

ICYMI, Australia will mark the first English speaking country outside of North America to get ESPN on Disney Plus. The new ESPN hub will bring more than 10,000 hours of live sports via ESPN and ESPN2 channels with shows including SportsCenter, The Pat McAfee Show, NBA Today, and First Take, along with live events and on-demand replays.

Just to name a few, ESPN has the rights to NBA All-Star Weekend, NBL Championship Series, MLB Opening Day, the NBA Finals and the NHL Stanley Cup Finals.
