Father’s Day is just around the corner and we’ve got a load of great tech recommendations that you can gift your day in order to improve his everyday life.
SONY WF-1000XM5 WIRELESS EARBUDS
If your dad loves a good pair of noise cancelling earbuds, the Sony WF-1000XM5 wireless earbuds just dropped and they’re absolutely fantastic. They’re great for listening to music, taking world calls and just drowning out the outside world.
You can grab them for $419 from Amazon.
SAMSUNG M80C SMART MONITOR
The Samsung M80C Smart Monitor is a great all-round monitor. It’s stylish, has a built-in webcam and is great for productivity, but its real secret weapon is the fact that it has Samsung Smart TV functionality built in.
You can buy it from The Samsung Store for $999,
SAMSUNG SSD
You can never have too much external storage, whether it be for storing files, backing up photos or just using them to store your games. The fantastic Samsung T7 SSDs are both on sale currently and you can’t go wrong with either.
You can grab the Samsung 2TB T7 Rugged SSD for $184 HERE and the Samsung 1TB T7 HERE for $137.
STEELSERIES GAMING HEADSET
If your dad is gamer, my favourite gaming headset brand is without a doubt SteelsSeries. If money isn’t an object, you can grab the Arctis Nova Pro wireless with dual batteries and active noise cancelling, otherwise the Arctis Nova Pro 7p is still a great headset as well.
You can grab the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for $573 from Amazon or the Arctis Nova 7P for $299.
LOGITECH MAC KEYBOARD/MOUSE
If your dad is an Apple user, this Logitech combo is fantastic. The Logitech MX Master 3S is a fantastic all-purpose mouse and the Logitech MX Mechanical is a fantastic keyboard. Both are big improvements on the official Apple ones.
The Logitech MX Master 3S mouse is $126 from Amazon and the MX Mechanical can be had for $171 from Amazon.
TWELVESOUTH HIRISE 3
This is without doubt my favourite wireless charger. It can charge your iPhone, AirPods and Apple Watch wirelessly without taking up too much space on your bedside table.
You can grab it from Amazon for $150.
NANOLEAF 4D SMART LIGHTS
If your dad is an RGB fan my favourite new light kit is the Nanoleaf 4D which cleverly merges a light strip with a camera that replicates what you’re watching on-screen onto the lightstrip behind behind either your monitor or TV.
You can grab it on Mwave from $169
SONOS MOVE
I’d recommend any Sonos speaker, but the Sonos Move feels like the perfect one for most dads. Not only can it be used in the house, but it also has a battery so that it can be taken out the backyard or even further with Bluetooth connectivity.
You can grab the Sonos Move from the Sonos website for $699.
DUALSENSE EDGE
If dad considers himself to be a bit of a pro gamer, the DualSense Edge is PlayStation’s new pro controller for PS5. It has customisable buttons and triggers. If you just want to get dad a new controller, the Midnight Black DualSense is absolutely stunning.
You can grab the DualSense Edge for $335 or the Midnight Black DualSense controller for $89.95
DJI OSMOS 4
The DJI Osmos 4 is a brand new action cam from DJI and it’s perfect for any outdoor situation. Whether you’re on a family picnic or maybe dad is into some extreme sports, it’ll capture ever moment with really great clarity and stabilisation.
You can grab it on the DJI Store HERE.
ANKER 737 POWER BANK
This is the power bank to top all power banks. It can charge your iPhone, laptop or portable gaming device with ease with its 140w of output and a handy screen that tells you exactly how long is left or how long to charge back up the power bank.
The Anker 737 Power Bank is currently on sale for $186 on Amazon.
GOOGLE PIXEL TABLET
The Google Pixel Tablet is one of my favourite devices of the year. Not only is it a great tablet, but it also becomes a great speaker when docked and can also display photos and act as a smart home hub when it’s back on its dock as well. It’ll go great in any room in the house.
The Google Pixel Tablet is currently on sale for $749.
REMARKABLE 2
If dad is a notetaker, the Remarkable 2 is a great little device. It has an e-ink display which means that it has great battery life, but it also has a matte screen which replicates the feeling of writing on paper really well.
The Remarkable 2 can had from $469.
WITHINGS SCAN WATCH
This has been another one of my favourite tech devices of the year. It’s a hybrid smart watch which means that it looks more like a traditional smart watch with its 30 battery life, but also has many of the smart watch features we’ve come to know and love like sleep and activity tracking and heart rate notifications.
The Withings Scan Watch Horizon can be had for $559 on Amazon.
ELGATO WAVE 3 MICROPHONE
If dad is a streamer or a video creator or maybe he just wants to level up his WFH setup, the Elgato Wave 3 is my microphone of choice. It not only looks really minimalist and sleek but it’s also really fool proof due to its Wave Link software that means you always sound great.
The Elgato Wave Link 3 is currently on sale on Amazon for $189.
CRICUT HAT PRESS
For the crafty dad, the Cricut Hat Press is a great choice. It allows you to attach iron-on prints to hats really easily so that dad can create and rotate through a more extensive hat collection.
The Cricut Hat Press will set you back $204 on Officeworks.
LEGO
You can’t really go wrong with anything LEGO, but two of my favourite sets that have released recently are the LEGO Donkey Kong set but also the LEGO Pac-Man set is absolutely stunning if you’re looking to spend a little bit more money.
The LEGO Pac-Man set can be had for $399 whilst the Donkey Kong set can be had for $75.
