Genki’s New Nintendo Switch 2 Cases Provide More Grip And Fit In The Dock Too

Almost every range of Nintendo Switch 2 accessories that I tested at launch had some kind of issue, whether it being a quality issue, or not fitting in the dock, and that went for Genki’s Nintendo Switch 2 range which was otherwise fantastic in design and concept.

Thankfully, the two main cases that had issues have now been fixed, and they’ve dropped the rest of the range (find here with 5% off) which are problem-free, and I think that the two cases that I wanted to talk about are great for most people.

GENKI ATTACK VECTOR

The one that I think most people will be interested in is the Genki Attack Vector, which has been updated to fit into the dock properly (and it does incredibly smoothly). It comes with a back case that protects the back of your Switch 2 whilst still giving access to the kickstand, but it’s the two Joy-Con grips that make all the difference.

There’s three grips depending on how much extra cushion you want to improve the ergonomics. The Anchor grip is the biggest and is for those with bigger hands, the Balance is a good mix and will probably be right for most and there’s the Feather which is for those that want to keep the Switch 2 portable but give the Joy-Con a big of extra volume for comfort.

These easily snap on and off the Joy-Con grips, so you can interchange them and swap them out quite easily. The back part of the case also has a MagSafe section so that you can attach the Genki battery pack (or any other MagSafe battery pack) straight to the case.

Whilst the Attack Vector won’t fit into most cases with the grips on them, Genki has also created a travel case, that is transparent and goes straight over the top to protect your Switch 2 from the front without the need for an external case.  Ultimately, I’d say this is the case for those that maybe don’t want the Dbrand Killswitch 2, but want that ergonomic improvement and protection.

GENKI FORCE FIELD 2 CASE

Interestingly enough, the Genki Force Field 2 case this is actually the case I saw at CES before the Switch 2 was even announced, so to be holding the final version in my hand was a cool moment.

This is unlike anything else that I’ve used so far for the Nintendo Switch 2. It’s essentially a back shell that has grips on the side (that have been patented) that flop out and lock backwards in order to let you remove the Joy-Cons without the case going with it, which I’d guess is for those that maybe want to use their Joy-Cons in another grip.

Interestingly enough, it also hides two Switch 2 game carts in the grip which go under your Joy-Con controllers, which is a clever use of space. The grips also have more depth to them for more ergonomics, and whilst it has nowhere near as much volume as the Attack Vector, it still makes the Switch 2 a lot more comfortable.

Similar to the Attack Vector, it has a MagSafe attachment on the back for the Genki battery pack and other MagSafe batteries, it’s totally dockable and it gives full access to the kickstand as well.

The travel cover that I mentioned withe the Attack Vector is also compatible here, and slides right over the top, although you could probably get away with more traditional cases with this one given there’s not too much extra size, but I’d still recommend the travel cover.

There’s a bunch of other cool Genki Switch 2 products as well including the Mimic Chest Game Case (that literally mimics a Switch 2 game case but holds 12 of them) as well as the Sleeper Case which I recommend looking at if the ones below don’t take your fancy.
