Just after the first photo of the Google Pixel 8 Pro leaked, Google has now revealed its Google Pixel 8 event which is expected to show us our first look at the Google Pixel 8/8 Pro and Google Pixel Watch 2.
The event was announced in a very cute video posted to Twitter that shows the Google Pixel 8 mocking an iPhone, calling it out for struggling to keep up with the latest and greatest trends, even going as far to mock it for only just getting USB-C all these years later.

The launch event for the Google Pixel 8 is set for October 5th at the below times:
The photo of the Google Pixel 8 Pro matches previously leaks that suggested it would have a glass oval covering the rear cameras rather than a separated design.
Outside of this, there’s still a lot of unknowns outside of new feature such as a video unblur feature and an audio eraser that might clean up recordings.
It’s unclear when we can expect to see the Google Pixel 8 and Google Pixel 8 Pro announced. Last year, we saw them released in mid-October, but this year’s event is a little bit earlier, so it could be the 4th-5th or a little bit later.
