Google Pixel Tablet

The Google Pixel Tablet’s Australian Release Date And Price Have Been Revealed

Such a clever idea.

Google has officially lifted the lid off the Google Pixel Tablet overnight. Just like originally teased, it will be an Android tablet that also docks as a home hub when placed on the speaker dock.

The Google Pixel Tablet has an 11″ LCD display and will have a battery life of up to 12 hours. There’s 8 megapixel rear and front cameras and as far as processor goes it has a G2 tablet (the same in the Pixel 7 range of phones). The tablet will be able to run multiple apps at the same time, running them in split screen mode.

The Pixel Tablet connects to the Speaker Dock with magnetic connectors to not only keep it charged, but provide enhanced audio through the speakers. When you’re in the home hub mode, you’ll be able to control lights, use Google Assistant, or just use the device as a digital photo frame.

Google has also announced the Pixel Tablet Case, which not only has a kickstand, but also goes over the top of the Speaker Dock so that it doesn’t get in the way.

The Google Pixel Tablet will release in Australia on June 20th with pre-orders kicking off today. It comes in porcelain and hazel with matching bezels and speaker docks coming in the same colours.

It will cost $899 (128GB) or $999 (256GB) and both models include the Speaker Dock. An extra Speaker Dock will cost $189 (for use in other rooms) and Google will also sell a case for $139 (that is compatible with the dock as well).
