IKEA has been going all-in on smart home over the last few years, slowly entering a new category or two at a time. This week, they have introduced VINDSTRKA which is a smart sensor that measures indoor air quality.
IKEA says that VINDSTRKA will be an affordable device that lets us be more aware of the air quality inside of our homes. It’ll measure PM2.l5 levels, humidity, temperature and TVOC. These levels will feature on the front of the display but if you’ve got IKEA’s DIRIGERA smart hub, you’ll also get the information on the app.
You’re also able to pair the device to IKEA’s STARKVIND smart air purifier to control the speed in relation to the amount of PM2.5 in the air.
The VINDSTYRKA air quality smart device will be available at IKEA across the world in April 2023.
