Apple has taken to its September event to announce its new flagship phone, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Just like the iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Pro is making the move to USB-C both for charing and data. This allows the iPhone 15 Pro to get USB 3 speeds up to 10 gigabits per second.
The iPhone 15 Pro has a new titanium design which allows the phone to be lighter, and also allows the bezels to be even smaller. This also apparently allows the device to be even tougher. The iPhone 15 Pro comes in Black Titanium, White Titanium, Blue Titanium and Natural Titanium.
The mute switch has been replaced with an action button which you can hold town to toggle between silent and loud, but now you can set that button to launch an app such as the camera, run a shortcut, or perform a number of other tasks.
The iPhone 15 Pro has an A17 Pro chip which Apple says is a pro class GPU that expands on what’s been possible on Apple previously. It’s 20% faster for peak performance but is also better for energy efficiency. It also hard hardware accelerated ray-tracing. To show off how capable this device is, Apple confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village would come to the iPhone.
As far as cameras go, the lenses feature a new nano coating which will reduce lens flare. For portrait mode, you can expect 2x better low-light performance.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max is getting a 5x telephoto lens, which will be great for areas where you need to zoom into the action like concerts or porting events.

Both the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max went up in price in Australia with the iPhone 15 Pro going up across the board and the iPhone 15 Pro Max now starting at the 256GB option.
