Kayo Is Getting A Price Increase And 4K Streaming

FInally!

Following in the footsteps of Binge, it’s also been announced that Kayo will also be getting 4K streaming for AFL, Nrl, Cricket Formula 1 and Netball just in time for the AFL/NRL seasons at the start of March.

This comes with a price increase for Kayo Basic which will now set you back $35 a month (a $5 price increase) and will include two streams as well as 4K for the sports listed above.

Interestingly enough, it looks like the Kayo Premium tier which used to allow for three people streaming at once and be set at the same $35 price point will no longer exist meaning that the maximum amount of people streaming on one account will now be two.

The Kayo One tier will stay at $25 at month but only include high definition as well as 1 stream.

NEW KAYO TIERS AS OF FEBRUARY 1ST

  • Kayo One: $25 a month and includes HD streaming and 1 stream
  • Kayo Basic: $35 per month and includes 4K streaming and 2 streams

Kayo says that you’ll be able to view 4K content with an Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast with Google TV 4K, Hisense/LG/Samsung TVs and a Telstra TV Box.

It’s very clear that the Foxtel group is reassessing its streaming offering with the imminent release of Hubbl that will release in TV form as well as a streaming stick. You can find out more about that HERE.
