Tech-heads can be some of the hardest people to buy for with them often being on top of the latest tech trends, but we’ve put together a list that we think will surprise and delight absolutely anyone.
Amazon Products
The quickest and easiest way to get a fool proof gift is to take advantage of the many options available at Amazon.
This includes the likes of the wide variety of Kindle products which is available at $179 for the cheapest model or a more fancy alternative at $209, an Amazon Alexa device such as the Echo for $19 or even the recently released Fire TV Cube which is available at $159.
Smart Home Products
If you know somebody already started investing in a smart home, it’s really hard to not go past the wide variety of smart home products available. Lighting is probably the safest option with Philips Hue providing a wide variety of bulbs and light strips for pretty much any situation. The new monitor or TV gradient light strips are a way to spruce up any entertainment space and they’ll go well with an Amazon Alexa or Google Home product too.
- Philips Hue Gradient Ambience Light Strip Base Kit – $189
- Philips Hue White And Colour Lightstrip For 24″-27″ Monitor – $287
Controller/Digital Credit
If there’s a gamer in your life, it’s hard to go past a controller. Whether it be another controller so that you’re able to play along, or maybe a new colour variant to spruce up their gaming life. Currently, Amazon has all of the DualSense controllers for PS5 for $76 or if they’re an Xbox gamer, you can grab the Xbox Series X|S controller for $69.
If you’re looking to really splurge and wanting to spend on a gaming console, the Xbox Series S is definitely the best deal in gaming, bundled in with Game Pass you can’t go wrong and it’s $100 off at $399 currently.
You absolutely cannot go wrong with credit to the variety of app stores or gaming platforms either. The likes of PlayStation Store credit, Xbox Credit, Nintendo eShop credit or even App Store or Google Play store credit.
Headphones
If you’re looking to spend a bit more, there’s a wide variety of headphones that would go down really well under any Christmas tree. Obviously, if you’re wanting something more for everyday, it’s really hard to go past any of the Apple AirPods. If you know they already have a pair, then the AirPods Pro would be a really premium upgrade.
On the gaming side, we’d recommend any of the SteelSeries headsets. If you’re after something cheaper, maybe the Arctis Nova 3 for $146 or on the premium side the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for $678. The Sony InZone or Pulse 3D headsets are fantastic if they’re a PlayStation gamer, and it’s hard to go past the Turtle Beach Steath 700 Gen 2 MAX as well.
- SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 – $146
- SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless – $678
- Sony InZONE H9 – $349
- Sony Pulse 3D Headset – $130
- Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 MAX – $199
TV/Speakers
If you’re wanting to get someone an audio product to take on the road or use on the house, there’s a number of great options for this too. I’d really recommend the Sonos Roam or Sonos Move if it’s something for use in and out of the house.
If we’re talking TVs and you’re wanting to wow the other half, then I’d highly recommend looking at the Samsung Frame which is the most gorgeous TV on the market. Maybe it’s for your bedroom, where there’s been some reluctance to get a TV, but this fits the mould perfectly as it looks like art when it’s off.
If we’re talking about sound bars, then Samsung has a number of really great options ranging from budget all the way to high-end audio experience if you’re looking to purchase something that is great for the in-home entertainment experience (and also treating yourself at the same time)
Keyboards/Mice
As working from home remains a thing, it’s likely that the person in your life is still using a subpar keyboard or mouse to work and there’s nothing better than giving them the joy of a new keyboard or mouse. If they’re a Mac user, I really recommend Logitech’s MX range which really pair well with Apple products and bring even better functionality than Apple’s own whilst retaining that same style.
If the person in your life is more of a gamer, then I’d highly recommend SteelSeries, with a range of products both in the wired/wireless space ranging from cheaper to more expensive.
New iPhone Case/Charging Dock
It’s really hard to go wrong with a new charging stand. If the person in your life has an iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods, it’s really hard to go past the Twelve South HiRise 3 charging stand which is my recommendation for a trio charger. It ticks every box and looks good whilst doing it.
When it comes to a new iPhone or MacBook case, it’s hard to go past Mujjo which make really quality products and you can find those below:
Travel
As travel now picks back up, Melbourne brand July has a really fantastic range of travel products ranging anywhere from from the Carry Me over the shoulder bag which is great for everyday trips out, to the Carry On which includes a build-in power bank and is honestly the best suitcase I’ve ever used and then also the larger Trunk which is beautiful too. I’d also recommend the packing cells which make packing clothes just that much easier.
We hope you have a fantastic Christmas and find whatever you’re hoping for under the tree.
