LG’s New TV Literally Comes In A Suitcase

StandbyME Go

LG has announced the StandbyME Go which is literally a TV in a suitcase.

It’s a 27-inch 1080p LCD display that is house in a suitcase that also contains a built-in battery (lasting three hours) and a 20-watt speaker. Obviously, it’s designed to be used out of the house at camping sites and such, and it’s actually a cool concept.

The display can be swivelled, tilted and rotated and go between landscape and portrait orientations as well as a table mode. It also has a touch-screen as well, so you don’t need to worry about carrying a remote.

Interestingly enough, it also has Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, which is pretty high-end, and it comes with an outdoor picture mode that utilises peak brightness as well.

As far as I can tell, this hasn’t been announced for Australia yet, but it’s going to cost $999 USD (~$1,527 AUD) which it launches in the US next month. You can find more info HERE.
