LG has revealed its 2023 Gram laptop range and it includes some interesting new models.
The LG Gram Style comes in 14-inch and 16-inch options and it has a “hidden haptic touchpad with soft LED Backlighting”. Basically, from what I can tell in images, it’s basically an invisible touchpad which appears when you touch the area. I’m not super sure if this will make it harder to know where to actually use the trackpad or not, but as a design feature, it looks great.
The LG Gram Style laptop with a disappearing trackpad and the gradient color's one of the dopest things I've seen at CES yet. I need one bruh 😫 pic.twitter.com/aUkvYbdVB0

The design is described as being iridescent that changes depending on the light that hits in and obviously, we haven’t seen one in person, but we can tell by the below image that it is definitely throwing different shades.
When it comes to specs, both models have a 16:10 OLED, Anti-Glare display with the 16-inch version featuring a 3,200 x 2,000 display whilst the 14-inch features a 2,880 x 1,880 display. Both are equipped with Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake 28w CPUs and Intel Iris X graphics.
When it comes to the 15.6″ Ultraslim, it comes in at under 1kg at 998 grams and it’s packed with a 1080p, 60hz display, OLED display, which I’d honestly love to get my hands-on as it’s being marketed as the lightest laptop to date, and going off the specs, I’d certainly believe it.
LG is also updating its regular Gram 17, 16, 15 and 14 models which blend style and function. These have NVIDiA GeForce RTXC 3050s in them, so whilst they might not have hidden touchpads or come in at under 1kg, they are definitely going to be more than capable for every day use.
Prices and release dates for the 2023 LG Gram range haven’t been confirmed yet.
