Logitech PRo X TKL Keyboard Review

Logitech G PRO X TKL Keyboard/Superlight 2 Mouse Review

A fantastic pairing

I’ve been using Logitech’s refreshed Pro X range for the last few weeks and it’s a big winner for a number of reasons. Obviously aimed at pro gamers or those that consider themselves super hardcore gamers, but just everything from the build quality to all of the little extras and customisations that you get in the box really take this to the next level.

Firstly, I wanted to talk about Logitech G Hub just because software plays such a big part in PC gear for me and I genuinely believe that Logitech’s software are the best. Whether it’s Logi Options for my MX range or G Hub for the rest of it, it’s just super reliable, free of bloat and allows you to get the most out of your accessories no matter what you’re using.

I’ll go into the specifics of each product and you should hopefully get a pretty good idea for how are made better by the simplicity of the software, but I really can’t praise Logitech and its software highly enough even on Mac, where you don’t lose any of the functionality.

LOGITECH PRO X TKL KEYBOARD

I’m going to go on the record and say that the G915 TKL is one of my favourite keyboards of all time, so I was super excited when the Pro X TKL was announced. It’s feature similar feature-wise, but it’s a bit higher profile and meatier than the G915.

I’d stopped using my G915 a year or so ago as I’d literally worn through the keys and had moved onto other keyboards in the Logitech MX range, but oh it was so good to be back. Utilising the GX Brown tactile switches, you get that nice clicky feel without it being too noisy. Instantly, I noticed my accuracy going straight up.

The keyboard does also sit quite a bit higher, so I’d recommend some kind of wrist rest which isn’t included in the box. Logitech has been nice enough to include a case though, so you can take it on the go. with you.

When it comes to connectivity, you can take advantage of both lightspeed or Bluetooth connectivity and go between the two freely if you’re using the keyboard with multiple devices. Obviously, if you want to take advantage of the lowest latency, you want to go with the lightspeed dongle.

The battery life is quoted at 50 hours, and obviously, that’ll be with the RGB lighting off. Just like other Logitech peripherals, battery life is second to none, so you can expect to go weeks without needing to charge. Logitech PRo X TKL Keyboard Review

There’s a good range of media keys on the keyboard and they work out of the box with Mac too. Everything from the scroll wheel for volume as well as the play/next/backwards button work flawlessly and are great to have on the keyboard.

As mentioned G Hub is absolutely fantastic when paired with the Pro X TKL. You can quickly turn on macros, or assign shortcuts, obviously control your RGB and define exactly what game mode does for when you want to disable certain buttons during gameplay.

LOGITECH PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 MOUSE

The Pro X Superlight is the next version of the company’s super popular ultralight mouse and it’s exactly that. At a meagre 60 grams, it literally feels like there’s nothing inside and lets you glide around any surfaces with ease.

Despite the fact that it’s super light, each of the buttons and overall quality of the mouse feel really high-end and comfort is really fantastic, with it not compromising on size to get that weight down. The buttons on the size are easily accessible and the scroll wheel feels reliable as well.

The mouse features hybrid switches with the ability to switch between optical and mechanical to save on battery life but also provide that super satisfying click, which is absolutely delivers on. If you’re someone that loves a clicky mouse, this is the one for you. There’s lite

The new Hero 2 sensor provides over 500+ IPS and up to 32,000 DPI and a polling rate of up to 2,000Hz. there’s a great amount of customisability provided in G Hub as well to adjust sensitivity curves and get the exact amount that you like.

As far as connectivity goes, you can connect via the USB-A Lightspeed dongle which can also connect via USB-C with the included converter. You can also charge the mouse or connect with the USB-C port. As far as battery life goes, its rated at up to 95 hours which is phenomenal given the weight of it, and it’s a decent increase on the original model as well.

All-in-all, the Pro X Superlight 2 improves on the original in clever ways, without compromising the core design of the product.
