The M3 MacBook Pro Has Been Revealed With A New Space Black Colour And Hardware Ray-Tracing

Apple has announced the new M3 MacBook Pro with a new M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max Chips which all utilise 3-nanometer technology. This marks the first time that the MacBook Pro 14-inch is available with just a standard (non Pro/Max chip).

M3 MACBOOK PRO AUSTRALIAN PRICES AND RELEASE DATE

With the introduction of the new M3 MacBook Pro 14-inch, the M3 line now starts at $2,699 AUD which is a $500 price drop on the cheapest M2 14-inch MacBook Pro model. The M3 Pro 14-inch starts at $3,499 AUD and the M3 Max 14-inch starts at $5,599 AUD. The cheapest 16-inch M3 Pro starts at $4,299 AUD whilst the 16-inch M3 Max starts at $5,999 AUD.

The M3 and M3 Pro MacBook Pros will be available on Tuesday, November 7th and are available to pre-order now whilst the M3 Max will be available later in November. You can pre-order HERE.

WHAT’S NEW IN THE M3 MACBOOK PROS

All of these new MacBook Pros will be available in a new space black colour (different to midnight introduced in the MacBook Air). Apple says that this has been developed with a special aluminium that is less prone to finger prints.

One of the big new improvements on the new M3 MacBook Pros is the fact that they all have hardware accelerated ray-tracing, which is obviously great for gaming to give realistic shadows and reflections. This enables pro apps to delivery two and a half times faster rendering performance.

MacBook Pro M3

The M3 Pro is 20% faster than the M2 version, whilst the M3 Max is 2x faster than the M2 Max. The M3 Max can now support up to 128GB of memory, which is a big improvement.

Battery life has also seen a bump and now lasts up to 22 hours which is the longest battery to ever exist in a Mac product. When it comes to brightness, the display is now brighter as well.
