MSI has now announced Australian prices for the MSI Claw as pre-orders go live on JB Hi-FI ahead of its release date on March 28th.
The MSI Claw Ultra 5 with a 512GB SSD will cost $1,399 AUD whilst the Ultra 7 with a 1TB SSD will cost $1,599 AUD. This is very comparable to the likes of the Lenovo Legion GO and just a tad more than the ASUS ROG Ally.
AUSTRALIAN MSI CLAW PRICE AND RELEASE DATE
The MSI Claw features a 7-inch 1080p 120hz touchscreen display, and it has a 53Whr battery which is said to delivery a two hour battery life with a full workload. It will also incorporate MSI Cooler Boost technology with dual fans and heat pipes to dissipate heat.
The device will come with MSI App player to play Windows, Android games, Xbox, and other PC games.
The biggest different between the MSI Claw and the ASUS ROG Ally seems to be the ergonomics which is fitting given the name of the MSI Claw. It has a lot more curvier grips which should make it easier to hold. You can see it very well in Dave2D’s first hands-on video HERE.
As far as storage and memory go, it has 1 NVME SSD Slot as well as 16GB of DDR5 memory onboard as well. It comes with a Thunderbolt 4 port, a MicroSD reader and a power button with a finger print sensor.
