In addition to the huge 49″ Odyssey OLED G9 monitor that has just released, Samsung has also announced the Australian price and release date for the huge 57″ Odyssey Neo G9.
SAMSUNG ODYSSEY NEO G9 57-INCH AUSTRALIAN PRICE AND RELEASE DATE
The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57-inch will cost $3,199 AUD in Australia and will release on August 28th. It’s available exclusively on Samsung’s website with a pretty epic pre-order off for those that sign up to pre-order right HERE before August 27th.
The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 is a big step forward in the ultrawide space for a number of reasons.
The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 will be one of the first 8K monitors on the market. It has a massive 57″ matte 32:9 display that literally puts two 4K displays side by side for a total resolution of 7680 x 2140. It also has the world’s first support for DisplayPort 2.1 which is apparently twice as fast as DisplayPort 1.4.
The monitor will have a 240Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time. Obviously. as the name suggests, it’s not an OLED but will take advantage of an updated version of Samsung’s Mini-LED technology which will give it a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. It has a HDR 1000 display.
I actually got to go hands-on with the monitor yesterday and it is a stunning piece of equipment. Photos and videos simply don’t do it justice, in just how much it wraps around you to fully immerse you into the display.
