Xbox has announced that it is raising the prices of the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, all accessories and games will also get a price increase across the world including Australia starting today.
The US is the worst hit where the Xbox Series X will now cost $599 USD ($940 AUD). Australia is also getting a price increase but nowhere near as bad, although it does mean that the Xbox Series X is now more expensive than the PS5 Disc Edition and it also pushes the Xbox Series X Galaxy Black across the $1,000 AUD mark.
The Xbox Series X will now cost $849 AUD (up from $799), the Xbox Series S will now cost $549 AUD (up from $499), limited edition Xbox controllers will now cost $129.95 AUD and the Xbox Elite controller will now cost $279.95 AUD.
It’s also been announced that first-party Xbox games will reach $80 USD (~$125 AUD) by the end of the year. This is in-line with PS5 and Nintendo Switch first-party games.
The price of Xbox Game Pass will not increase in any capacity anywhere in the world at this stage.
