Sony Pictures has today revealed that Sony Bravia Core is now called Sony Pictures Core and it’ll make its move from Sony Bravia TVs to releasing on PS5 and PS4 consoles for the first time today.
Sony Pictures Core allows you to buy or rent up to 2,000 movies such as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Uncharted, The Equalizer, No Hard Feelings, Bullet Train, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife
Those that have PlayStation Plus Deluxe will get access to a library of up to 100 movies that will be updated periodically. This includes Looper, Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, Elysium, and Resident Evil Damnation
Sony Pictures Core will also bring movies such as Gran Turismo for rent/purchase in an early access period before it comes to other platforms.
I got to get some hands on time with Sony Bravia Core on a 2023 Sony OLED TV earlier this year. It offers a higher bitrate and some decent flicks, especially if you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber that can bow take advantage on your PS5/PS4 console.
