PAX Australia 2024 is gone for another year, and it felt like PC tech consumed even more of the show floor this year, with every PC manufacturer going head to head to try and create the most over the top PC with it being guaranteed that an NVIDIA RTX 4000 series GPU would be at the core of that build.
Without doubt one of the coolest PCs on display was the Alien Romulus PC built by Afershock. Featuring a Gigabyte RTX 4090 Aorus Master, this PC was equally scary as it is cool.
I’ve always been a big fan of Keychron and the booth that they had at the show this year was constantly full and really cool to see with clickable keycap key r ngs as well as a gigantic Keychron keyboard that was fully functional.
One of the coolest pieces of tech that I saw was without doubt the 20th anniversary Monster Hunter range over at MSI. In particular, the full PC build complete with an MSI Monster Hunter case, motherboard, liquid cooler and a custom 4060 Ti all with stunning red colouring and a Rathalos design.
Cooler Master once again had one of the cooler builds with the Sneaker X once again on show, but Shark X took things even further. It could be spotted from a mile away with it standing super tall and full of RGBs. It has an RTX 4070 Ti in it.
One of my favourite PCs on the show floor was the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 custom PC at Corsair’s booth to go with all of its upcoming peripherals. It had one of the only RTX 4000 series Founder’s Edition cards that I saw on the show floor which is a sexy centrepiece for any build.
Aftershock really stole the show and seems to up the anti with every year, but one of the coolest pieces on display was this Medusa PC that brought a new level of awesomeness from every angle.
A PC that doubles as an arcade cabinet is absolutely genius, and everyone on the show floor thought so as well, as every time I walked past it, there were people lining up to have a go.
The only thing better than one gigantic curved monitor is three of them strapped together to create a flight sim rig of epic proportions.
Final Fantasy XIV Online was all over PAX this year, and Aftershock celebrated it with a fantastic custom PC that was locked behind a glass cabinet.
