The DualSense Controller Is Finally Getting Multi-Device Support

FINALLY!

PlayStation has made an announcement on X this morning that might not appeal to many people, but for me, it’s a massive one.

The company has confirmed that the DualSense controller is getting an update later this year that enhances pairing functionality including the ability to connect to multiple devices at once.

This is particularly useful now as the DualSense controller is literally fully compatible with everything including obviously the PS5, but all mobile devices, PCs with full compatibility as well as external devices like the Apple Vision Pro.

Previously, you had to disconnect the DualSense controller from one device to use it with another, and if it was connected to your PS5, you’d often accidentally turn it one when trying to pair it with another device, and even then, there was no real way of telling what it was connected to.

It’ll be interesting to see how PlayStation handle this. I’d love to see it integrated into the PlayStation app or something to that effect to manage connectivity, but we’ll have to wait to hear more.
