Jakks has announced that it’s bringing its officially licensed 24-volt Mario Kart is coming to Australia.
It’ll be exclusive to EB Games when it launches in November and here’s the kicker, it’s going to cost a whopping $849 AUD. This feels a bit stiff given it’s $200-$350 USD in America.
The other kicker is that it’s only for children (or very small adults) under 25kg, which is a massive shame as I had pictured this as a Segway type go-kart when I first saw a photo.
It goes up to 8km per hour with two forward speeds and one reverse wheel and has in-game engine sounds, item box effects, the main theme from Mario Kart 8 deluxe and more.
Obviously, it looks amazing with oversized wheels and the iconic Mario Kart look, and I can only hope that we see these in a larger form with a bit more power at some point.
