The Gigabyte M27UP Is A Fantastic Value For Money Dual Mode 4K Gaming Monitor

It’s been a little while since I’ve been impressed with a monitor that was equally good as it is affordable, but that’s exactly what the Gigabyte M27UP gaming monitor is. At less than $600, although it’s currently available for less than $500 with a bonus $50 Steam voucher as well, this is a 4K gaming monitor that will meet the needs of most gamers.

One of the unique features of this monitor is the fact that it has two specially tuned display modes that cater to two different needs. The 4K/160Hz mode is perfect for console gaming and AAA PC gaming as well as watching movies, but there is an easy to access switch that turns the monitor into an extremely capable 1080P/320Hz monitor that is perfect for those that want the best refresh rates for competitive and FPS gaming.

This is easily managed through a Tactical Switch and can go between the two modes with the touch of a button and the Smart OD can intelligently detect the screen’s refresh rate and adjust the optimal overdrive level to reduce ghosting and white trails and deliver smoother motion in either mode.

Even if you’re not a competitive gamer, the versatility of the monitor is fantastic to have so even if you’re not utilising both display modes at launch, you know it’s there to take advantage of later, and paired with a 1ms response time, it is fantastic for those wanting to use it in this way.

As far as the design of the monitor goes, you’re getting a sleek all black monitor that has full height, rotation and swivel adjustment and you’ve got a huge amount of ports including 2 x HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB-C port with power pass through, a DP 1.4 port, 3 x USB 3.2 ports and an earphone jack.

The monitor also has speakers built-in which is great at this price point and as far as colours and vibrancy go, it has HDR 400 support which means that whilst it’s not the brightest monitor on the market, you won’t find a better priced monitor that can deliver 4K with these visuals. The monitor also has four way cooling so you can expect the visuals to be sustained over long play sessions.

When it comes to managing the OSD, it’s a pretty simple interface with control stick in the middle and two buttons on either side that can be programmed to quickly select what you need. There’s also other

All-in-all, if you’re looking for a 4K gaming monitor that won’t break the bank, the 27-inch GIGABYTE M27UP is a great place to start and you can find out more information about the bonus promo HERE.
