Google has this morning revealed the Google Pixel 9a and it has a brand new design doing away with the camera notch that has become well-known with the Pixel brand over the last few years.
The Google Pixel 9a will release into stores in April, but should be available a little earlier if grabbing it from the Google store online at the below links:
It’s available in Iris, Peony, Porcelain and Obsidian.
This new design which I absolutely love has the camera bump sit within the housing making it flush, which is a design I can’t remember seeing in any smart phone in recent memory.
It has a larger 6.3-inch Actua display with a brighter 120hz 2,700 nits of peak brightness, but even though the screen size has increased, it’s only slightly bigger than the 8A due to the change in design and it’s also lighter as well.
On the camera side, it has a 48-megapixel rear camera with a bigger sensor than the 8A and it also has as 13-megapixel ultrawide as well as a macro mode.
Other improvements include the same Tensor G4 chip that was in the other Pixel 9 phones, improved durability rating with IP68 and a larger battery with faster charging.
Obviously, all of the Google AI features such as Gemini Live will be included as well and there’s seven years of OS upgrades and security support in the box.
