In addition to the Google Pixel 8a, Google has today announced that the Pixel Tablet will now be sold without the charging speaker dock.
This was the main selling point of the device when it was released last year, as it turned the tablet into an integrated home hub and not only improved the speaker but acted as a way of keeping it charged.
The tablet on its own will cost $729 when it releases on May 14th. This is a $170 price drop to buying it with the speaker charging stand, so definitely might push some people over the edge toward buying it.
