The M4 MacBook Air Has Been Revealed And Is Cheaper With A New Sky Blue Colour

Apple has announced the new M4 MacBook Air and there’s some big reasons to be excited. The first is that it’s now cheaper starting at just $1,699 AUD for the 13-inch (previously $1,799 AUD) and $2,099 AUD for the 15-inch (previously $2,199) all with the new M4 processor and also double the memory (16GB).

There’s still four colours with the new Sky Blue colour replacing Space Grey that sits alongside midnight, starlight and silver and obviously it comes in the two 13-inch and 15-inch sizes.

As far as M4 goes, it’s 23x faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Air and is capable of playing the latest games such as Civilization VII and Assassin’s Creed Shadows and you can expect to get up to 18 hours of battery life as well thanks to the new chip. The new MacBook Air is obviously capable of Apple Intelligence as well.

As far as other improvements go, it now has a 12MP Center Stage compatible webcam, which is a big improvement on the previously one and you can now connect two external 6K displays with the screen on as well, which again is a big improvement.

Everything else including the screen, formfactor and ports are all the same, but this is just a great improvement to one of my favourite laptops of all time.
