During the Logitech G Play event, the company unveiled its updated PRO Series lineup, bringing a range of upgrades to its popular gaming gear.
First up in the new range is the Logitech G PRO X3 Lightspeed Gaming Headset. Logitech has focused on improving some of the headset’s key features, most notably the microphone, which has been upgraded to deliver “studio-quality” audio. The new mic moves from 16-bit/16 kHz to 16-bit/48 kHz, offering a significant boost in comms.
The audio has also received an upgrade, with Graphene technology integrated into the headset’s drivers to deliver greater detail, sharper highs and the crisp, clear audio that competitive gamers demand. Logitech has also improved the overall experience with an extended battery life, increasing from 50 to 70 hours, while a redesigned perforated headband provides added comfort during longer gaming sessions. The headset will be available in three colours: Black, White and Magenta.
Following Logitech’s impressive innovation with the Superstrike X2, which is currently my favourite mouse for FPS titles, the company has now unveiled an updated version at the event: the Logitech G PRO Superstrike X3 Gaming Mouse.
The Superstrike X3 retains the innovative Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS), while introducing several refinements and upgrades. The new Advanced NxLOGI Chip helps extend battery life from 90 to 135 hours, while the mouse now supports an 8K polling rate and delivers slight improvements to sensor performance. Logitech has also managed to shave 2 grams off the overall weight, making an already lightweight mouse even lighter.
The Superstrike X3 will be available in two colour options: Black and Magenta.
The new lineup also introduces a new keyboard to the PRO Series: the Logitech G PRO X2 Rapid. Featuring POM Magnetic Analog switches, the PRO X2 delivers the performance features competitive gamers have come to expect, including Rapid Trigger, custom actuation points and SOCD. The keyboard also features an integrated OLED display, allowing you to make adjustments on the fly and switch between saved profiles without needing to open or install the software. Logitech has also added six layers of sound dampening to provide a more premium typing experience, with a refined and well-tuned sound to match.
Completing the new lineup is the Logitech G PRO X Control, a brand-new premium mousepad that has been two years in the making, with Logitech working closely with professional players throughout its development. The mousepad features an omnidirectional knitted surface, providing consistent glide in every direction for greater control and precision. Underneath, a 6mm SlimFlex foam base has been engineered to provide additional comfort and support during longer gaming sessions.
Overall, Logitech G’s new PRO Series lineup feels like a solid evolution of what’s already been working. There are some nice upgrades across the board. I’m especially keen to put the Superstrike X3 through its paces, but there’s plenty here for competitive and pro gamers to get excited about.
