Apple has today announced an updated version of the 24-inch iMac with the new M4 chip and Apple Intelligence as well as a bunch of other updates.
The iMac comes in seven new colours which on paper are the same as the older model, but are much more vibrant and bold to stand out on your desk. Updated USB-C versions of the Magic keyboard, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad will also come with the device as well.
The display is still the same 4.5K retina display, but there’s a new nano-texture option which will help with glare. The webcam has also been enhanced and it’s now a 12MP Center Stage compatible webcam that has Desk View support as well.
As far as the internals go, obviously it comes with the M4 chip which should be great for gaming, and the minimum memory has been doubled to 16GB of ram (great improvement) and all USB-C ports are now Thunderbolt 4 which is fantastic for adding storage options.
The M4 iMac is available for pre-order now and will release on November 8th.
