The Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con Controllers Also Connect To The New Steering Wheel Magnetically

We knew that magnets were set to be a big part of the Nintendo Switch 2 experience, with the Joy-Cons connecting to the Switch 2 unit magnetically, but it seems as though other accessories will also take advantage.

In a video posted on the Nintendo Today app, Nintendo showed of the new Joy-Con controllers connecting magnetically to the Nintendo Switch 2 Steering Wheel accessories. It seems as though these ones connect magnetically at the bottom of the controller rather than at the sides.

No doubt this will not only make the attachment more secure, with the video showing the wheels being tipped, but they’ll also be a lot easier to remove and change between accessories and hardware given they just pop in and out magnetically and don’t need the straps attached due to larger SL and SR buttons.

The Nintendo Switch 2 launches on June 5th alongside the new Steering Wheel accessory (and Mario Kart World obviously).
