The Nintendo Switch Successor Will Apparently Have A Larger 8-Inch LCD Screen

It seems almost certain that the Nintendo Switch successor will be releasing this year, and we’re heard reports that it will include an upgraded processor that can take advantage of DLSS upscaling technology, but we now have a good indication of what to expect from the screen.

According to a Bloomberg report, the new console will have an 8-inch LCD screen. For comparison, the original Nintendo Switch launched with a 6.2-inch LCD screen whilst the Nintendo Switch OLED had a larger 7-inch OLED screen.

This newer, larger screen would be the same size as the recently released PlayStation Portal, which has a fantastic LCD screen despite it not being OLED with super vivid colours and great contrast.

The Nintendo Switch has shipped 132 million units to date, with Nintendo obviously due for a new console, so it’ll be interesting to see how the year plays out.
