Philips has announced a bunch of updates coming to the Hue app and some new bulbs have also been announced.
A new feature called brightness balancer will allow you to customise the relative brightness of individual lights in an entertainment area, instead of controlling the light as a group. This helps with managing bulbs that have different lumen counts as well as picking parts of the room to be brighter than others to help glare and other elements that might impact your entertainment area.
Philips Hue motion sensors are also being improved. The number of time slots that sensors can activate will increase from two to ten to allow for a bigger variety of brightness based on actions at different part of the day. A natural light scene will also be able to be selected so you can mimic the sun throughout the day.
Both of these features will be launching in Q3 in the Philips Hue app.
