The box for a Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III PS5 Slim bundle has leaked and revealed a bunch of new information including the release date and an interesting tidbit of information around the disc drive.
The COD: Modern Warfare III PS5 Slim bundle will release on November 10th in the US, which appears to be the first time we’ll see the new PS5 Slim in-stores.

In an interesting tidbit of information, the PS5 will require an internet connection initially to pair the PS5 with the disc drive. This isn’t a super big deal, but does potentially have ramifications for preservation purposes in the future when disc drives die and can no longer be synced with a server or such.
The disclaimer reads: “Internet connection required to pair Disc Drive and PS5 console upon setup”
It’ll also be interesting to see what happens after you’ve connected a disc drive initially and connect another one due to repairs, or maybe you just want to connect one at a friend’s house.
We still don’t know if the PS5 Slim will drop in Australia this year, but this information tells us that we’re only a few weeks away from seeing it in the flesh which will be great for comparisons and any other little bits of information that are unique to this console model.
