DJI has dropped its Romo line of robot vacuums into Australia including the Romo P, Romo A and Romo S today which all leverage DJI’s camera systems including dual fisheye vision sensors and wide-angle dual transmitter solid state LiDARs.
This allows the line of robot vacuums to avoid obstacles as small as cables, and they also have DJI’s design flair mixing transparent base stations and robot vacs with clean, crisp white.
The vacuums have a path planning algorithym that allows for smarter cleaning routes, dual flexible arms that allow it to reach any area, a self cleaning base station with 200 days of maintenance free cleaning and a super quiet cleaning system and the vacuum itself has 25,000 Pascals of suction with the ability to lift the mops when it detects carpet.
There’s a number of super smart cleaning features as well:
Smart Carpet cleaning: Accurately identifies the size and location of carpets, updating them on the map.
Intelligent Threshold Recognition: Cleans right along the edges of thresholds while avoiding frequent crossing.
Customised Kitchen and Bathroom Cleaning: ROMO offers a customisable cleaning mode that applies cleaning solution directly to the mop pads to tackle tough kitchen grease. Additionally, it returns to the base station to wash the mop pads, specifically after cleaning areas like the kitchen and bathroom, preventing cross-contamination.
Worry-Free Pet Area Cleaning: In pet areas, ROMO reduces its travel and side brush speed to avoid scattering debris, while boosting suction to thoroughly clean up pet fur.
