UPDATE: Xbox ANZ has confirmed in a Tweet that the Xbox Series X Console Wraps are not coming to Australia at this stage.
ORIGINAL STORY: Not to be outdone by PS5 faceplates, Xbox has today announced official Xbox Console Wraps which are a sustainable and affordable way to give your console a new look.
So far three designs have been announced – A Starfield wrap, an Arctic Camo and Mineral Camo designs. They’re set to launch in parts of the world on October 18th for $49.99 USD (~$78 AUD) for the Starfield design and November 10th ($45 USD) for the camo designs, although Australia isn’t on the list of locations, so it’s unclear if we’ll see them here initially.
The console wraps are made of a fabric that has been perfectly engineered to wrap around your console. The Starfield one has a smooth soft outer design whilst the camo versions have a microfibre design, with the inside being silicon to ensure that it grips to the console.
The covers are kept on with a hook and loop velcro design that allows the wraps to fit snug on the console without needing to go over the top or bottom of the console to restrict airflow.
