Just months after it added ads, Binge has announced that its Standard and Premium tiers are going up.
Basic (with ads) will stay at $10 per month, but Standard will go from $16 per month to $18 per month whilst premium will go from $18 per month to $22 per month.
It’s not all bad news as both the Standard and Premium tiers will now offer 4K streaming, which has been long-requested and is now in-line with all other streaming services. Binge says a full list of compatible devices will be released in late October.
The change in pricing will kick-in from October 24th with 4K streaming being introduced at roughly the same time in late October. A news channel will also be introduced at the same time.
THE NEW BINGE OFFERING
As of October 24th, this will be the new Binge offering.
- Basic ($10 per month) 1 stream/HD/ADs
- Standard ($18 per month) 2 streams/4K
- Premium ($22 per month) 4 streams/4K
BINGE’S STATEMENT ON THE PRICE INCREASE:
“We continually invest in bringing you premium content and enhancing your BINGE experience. As a result, our subscription prices are changing.
Streaming in 4K will be available on BINGE Standard and BINGE Premium from late October, so you can enjoy 4K on selected content if you have a 4K compatible device. We will also have news channels available on BINGE in late October so you can get your daily news fix at home or on the go.”
