Netflix Just Got Another Price Increase In Australia

Not good

Just months after cracking down on password sharing and cutting its cheapest plan without ads, Netflix has now announced yet another price increase for Australia.

The standard tier with ads tier is now $7.99 which is a $1 month increase, the standard tier has risen $2 a month for $18.99 a month whilst the Premium tier has increase $3 a month to $25.99 per month.

NEW NETFLIX PRICES IN AUSTRALIA

  • Standard with ads – $7.99 per month ($1 monthly increase)
  • Standard – $18.99 per month ($2 monthly increase)
  • Premium – $25.99 per month ($3 monthly increase)

Netflix looks to be giving a one month grace period, but if you’re signing up today, you’ll be paying the new monthly prices.

As always, the standard with apps plan gets you 2 streams at 1080p (with ads), standard gets you 2 streams with 2 offline downloads and paid extra members whilst the premium tier gives you 4K streams with HDR and 4 streams at the same time.

The email from Netflix reads:

“Thank you for being a valued member since *insert year here*. We hope you’re enjoying everything Netflix has to offer. We’re updating the price of the Premium plan to $25.99, bringing your new monthly total to $25.99 on 15 June, 2024.
