Following on from announcing its Xbox Series X|S Expansion card, WB_Black also announced the SN850P which is a PS5 compatible SSD that has the PlayStation logo on it as its PlayStation’s officially licensed SSD.
Unlike the SN850 that came before it, the SN850P will be available in 1TB, 2TB and a whopping 4TB variation. Just as a reminder, adding an SSD to your PS5 adds to your internal storage and doesn’t replace it.
It’s also worth mentioning that the SN850P is faster than the SN850. The SN850p writes at 7,300MB/s and reads at 6,300MB/s in comparison to the 7,000/5,300MB/s speeds of the original SN850.
