Months after they leaked online, Western Digital has finally confirmed its WD_Black Xbox Series X|S expansion cards which are available to buy now in the US.
The 500GB version is priced at $80 USD (~$119 AUD) whilst the 1TB version is priced at $149.99 USD (~$224 AUD) which is in-line with the Seagate pricing following their recent price drop. Both SSDs come with a month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as well.
You can find the listings HERE, but there’s no Australian prices as of yet.

Obviously, these are still much more expensive than PS5 alternatives with a 2TB PS5 compatible SSD dropping to as low as $180 in recent days.
Hopefully at least now that there’s two people making these SSDs that we’ll see a bit more competition in the market in terms of sales and price drops.
