CRKD has revealed themselves of a new tech company with decades of experience across software, industrial design, artwork, engineering and consumer electronics launches.
Their first product is a Nintendo Switch cradle that was designed in-house. It’s called the Nitro Deck and it allows you to slide your Switch screen into the dock to elevate the handheld experience.
It has thumbsticks with hall effect sensors to eliminate stick drift, and you’re able to swap out the thumbstick toppers. Connection is done over USB-C rather than Bluetooth with another USB-C port on the actual device to keep it charged. You can also use the product when gaming on your TV.
The product is launching in September at $59.99 USD (~$88 AUD) and $89.99 (~$132 USD) for the limited edition Atomic Purple and Glacier blue which both come with a carry case. These are available on the Limited Run Games website.
The standard other colours are Classic Grey and Retro Purple which will be the first two products in the CRKD Nostalgia Collection. All of CRKD’s devices will connect to the ‘True Collection System’ companion app on iOS and Android.
