At well under $1,000 (It’s actually already on sale for even less at the moment), if you’re after a 1440p OLED monitor, I’d absolutely recommend looking no further than the Gigabyte MO27Q28GR.
OLED monitors are without doubt the easiest recommendation to make when telling someone how to improve their PC gaming experience, but they’ve been notoriously expensive, and the Gigabyte MO27Q28GR might just be the most affordable one yet.
It has a 1440p resolution with a 280hz refresh rate, which will be the sweet spot for most setups, as most graphic cards will actually be able to take advantage of that higher refresh rate at 1440p especially with the use of frame gen.

The monitor has a 4th gen tandem WOLED panel, and I was immediately impressive with the vibrancy and colour accuracy when playing games such as Forza Horizon 6 with the cherry blossoms absolutely popping. Every single time I booted up the monitor I was blown away with just how good it made my games look.
There’s a HyperNits tech that can boost overall brightness while preserving highlight details under HDR Peak 1500 mode and I have to say that I did notice a pretty decent increase in brightness over other OLEDs that I’ve used giving it an extra bit of pop than I’m used to.

Whilst most other manufactures are moving to semi matte or matte, Gigabyte has leaned into glossy with a new RealBlack Glossy coating and whilst that will mean you get more reflections, you’ll absolutely notice that boost in contrast with the blacks being super deep which only adds to the vibrancy. Whilst playing Returnal, I was mega impressed with how good the reds looked against the deep black backgrounds.
THE CHEAPEST PRICE: $829 ($120 OFF HERE)
Gigabyte has also added an AI OLED Care mode which easily lets you control settings such as PixelShift and a tonne of other care modes that you can control at your own will based on how much you want the monitor to shift away from what’s on screen in order to prevent burn-in.

You’re getting HDMI 2.1, display port and USB-C support as well. It’s worth mentioning that you’re only getting USB-C with 18w charging, so it’s enough to keep your laptop on and going, but probably not enough to charge most devices.
