Sonos has today revealed the Sonos Play which is a portable speaker that sits between the Roam and the Move.
I think this one is going to be a winner because it blends the best of the Sonos Move 2 with its 24 hour battery life, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi capability with a wireless charging base, but it has the internals similar to that of the Sonos Era 100 making it great for in the house yet still portable enough to take with you on the go. Just like Sonos’ other portable speakers it has Automatic Trueplay tuning to make it sound great no matter where it is.
It’s launching on March 31st for $499 AUD and comes in both black and white. Separately to this announcement, Sonos also announced the Sonos Era 100 SL which strips away the microphone and that will also be available in Black and White on March 31st for $289 AUD.
