The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold Looks To Be Coming To Australia

Good news!

Google dropped its first foldable phone called the Google Pixel Fold last year, but it was limited to a small release in the US and never made its way to Australia and several other countries, but this looks set to change with the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold which looks like it’ll form part of the lineup of a much expanded Pixel 9 range.

At the time of writing, the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold teaser video has been uploaded to the Google Australia YouTube channel, it’s featured on the Australian Google Devices website, and Telstra is advertising it as part of its pre-launch Pixel 9 data capture campaign, which almost certainly confirms that the device will be making its way to Australia this year.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is set to have some big changes with a larger inner display that measures 8-inches, and the display will be brighter too. This will result in a taller outer display as well, and it seems that Google is trying to create the thinnest foldable on offer.

We know based on leaks that the Pixel 9 range will be larger than ever this year with two non-folding Pro devices, a Foldable, a regular Pixel 9 and updated buds and watch too. The range we’d expect to see revealed on August 14th includes:

  • Google Pixel 9
  • Google Pixel 9 Pro
  • Google Pixel 9 Pro XL
  • Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold
  • Google Pixel Buds Pro 2
  • Google Pixel Watch 3

The Google Pixel 9 event will take place on August 14th at 3:00am AEST here in Australia. We’ll have all of the announcements as soon as they happen.
