Mother’s Day is approaching and whilst it can be hard to find the perfect gift, we’ve put together a list of tech items that will not only be appreciated, but will enhance the day to day life of the special someone that is receiving it.
KINDLE
It’s really hard to go past a Kindle and there’s several options that are all on sale at the moment. The Kindle Paperwhite is a fantastic option at $189 (currently 20% off) or if you’re wanting something a little bit more bouje, the Kindle Scribe also allows you to take notes, but it’s a little bit more pricey at $549.
SPEAKERS
If your mum is after a speaker, and loves listening to music throughout her day, it’s really hard to go past the recently released Sonos Era 100. It’s easily the best sending speaker that we’ve used (at this price point) at $399.
If a basic smart speaker is what they’re after, the Echo Dot (3rd Gen) is just $34 at the moment on Amazon which you can find here. If they’re an Apple user, the HomePod Mini is a great looking speaker than also acts as a smart device.
CRICUT MACHINE
If your mum is craft, it’s really hard to go past the variety of Cricut machines that are available. There’s everything from the Cricut Joy (which is currently on sale for $249), the Mug Press which allows you to create printed mugs for $298 or something a little more high-tech such as the Explore Air 2 for $399.
INSTAX MINI 12
Physical photography has become a thing again in recent years, and Instax has just dropped the Instax Mini12 for $109, which comes in a fun variety of colours and is easier than ever to use. It’ll be a fun item that you can all use on Mother’s Day and also for capturing any memory beyond that.
SCANWATCH
I recently reviewed the ScanWatch and I think it’s a great watch for the mother that maybe doesn’t want to go fully into smart watch territory, but wants an elegant looking watch that can also track sleep and steps. Enter the ScanWatch which lasts 30 days, and does all of the above. It’s currently $399 ($100 off) at JB Hi-Fi and you can find that HERE.
THE SAMSUNG FRAME TV
Mother’s Day is often a good time to come together with siblings to team up for a gift of big proportions, and if that’s the case, I can’t think of a better gift than the Samsung Frame TV.
The 32″ The Frame is $679 currently and does just as the name suggests, allows the TV to look exactly like a photo when it’s not in use. It goes all the way up to 85″ (although that’ll set you back a bit more at $3,499) and there’s also a variety of bezel colours that you can buy too.
ROBO VAC
There’s really two ends of the table when it comes to robot vacuums, but they’re essential in any house. There’s cheaper options that will get the job done like the Ecovacs Deebot U2 at $369 or at the other end of the spectrum, there’s the Samsung BESPOKE Jet Bot AI+ vacuum which is a little bit more pricey at $1,499 but has full mapping capabilities, a camera to avoid obstacles and a base which will suck up everything from the vacuum once it’s finished.
A NEW CONTROLLER
If your mum is a gamer, there’s nothing better than a new controller. If she’s a PlayStation gamer, it’s hard to go past this gorgeous, vibrant DualSense controller for $99.
If she’s looking forward to Tears of the Kingdom, it’s also really hard to go past this stunning Zelda themed controller for $109 which you can find here for $109.
NESPRESSO MACHINE
If your mum is a coffee lover, Nespresso has just dropped the Vertuo Pop which is not only super easy to use, but comes in six great colours including mint, yellow, blue, white, black and red. It’s currently on sale for $179 and you can grab it HERE.
APPLE AIRPODS
I gave my mum a new set of Apple AirPods last year, and you really can’t go wrong with them. They’re compatible with any phone or computing device. Whether it be the second gen AirPods for $178 or the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen with noise cancelling capabilities for $358, it’s hard to go wrong.
