The lid has been lifted off the Nothing Phone (2). It has a larger 6.7 inch display (up from 6.55 inches) and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The battery has also seen a jump of 200 mAh.
The phone isn’t hugely different from last year’s model, but it does have more Glyph lighting zones on the back, one that can be used for a progress bar for the likes of an Uber arriving or volume level and another for charging progress.
You can now use the Glyph Composer to create your own ringtones as well, so it’s clear that Nothing is doubling down on this mechanic.
Just like last years model, the Nothing Phone (2) is running a custom version of Android (now upgraded to Nothing OS 2.0)and is based on really putting an emphasis on your actions on your phone being deliberate.
On the camera side, you’ve got two rear cameras that are 50 megapixels as well as a selfie cam that has been improved to 32 megapixels. Video is also improved with 4K/60FPS supported from the rear camera.
The phone also comes with a super sweet transparent USB-C cable, which honestly, is almost worth the price of admission alone.
